Kenia was born to Jaime Arias and Mercedes Hernandez in San Juan, Puerto Rico and raised along with her older brother Jimmy in Medford, Long Island, NY. Growing up in a Puerto Rican and Dominican household surrounded by music, Kenia first showed interest in performing at the age of four and at the age of six decided she wanted to become a professional singer and actor. At age fourteen, Kenia began performing professionally and signed a production deal that lead to the release of her first self-titled album. Kenia would go on to perform on Showtime at the Apollo, the Puerto Rican Day Parade and Club New York.

After her family relocated to Florida, Kenia set her sights on acting and was cast in a theater production on her very first audition. While attending College, Kenia continued to perform in plays, musicals and student films, eventually booking several TV and Commercial projects. During that time, Kenia recorded two self-funded, self-produced, and self-distributed albums.

To further develop her craft, Kenia studied under Killian McHugh, Terry Berland, and Stevie Mackey. Kenia now resides in Los Angeles, CA and continues to book a wide variety of roles on feature films and TV shows including Graceland, Glow, Goliath, Tomorrowland, and Captain Marvel.
